Originally built in 1910, our building was converted to the Hotel Maple Leaf in 1935. Operated as a hotel, bar and dining room for travelers and local residents under two owners until 1975. Through the 1980’s,1990’s and 2000’s the Maple Leaf Tavern garnered notoriety as a down and out drinking hall. We acquired the vacant space in 2013 and undertook extensive renovations, re-opening in Spring 2016.
Our goal is to recreate the look and feel of a true community Tavern. We focus our efforts on working with the best people and the best suppliers our great city has to offer. We hope you enjoy and make us your neighbourhood destination when you are in East Toronto.
